2009.....The lost season. You judge a team's character not by how they handle success, but rather by how they handle adversity. We are simply awful.
Must have outstanding 2010 draft to regain credibility.

Dear Sue,
We received your blog on our website. I appreciate your forwardness and comments and would like to apologize for any rudeness that may have come toward you and your family.
I believe we have a great Steeler Fan Club at Calypso Beach Café. However, the heart and soul of our fan club was not there at Calypso on October 2nd. I can not account for who was there because my husband and I was at the game in Pittsburgh.
I am also one of the managers there at Calypso on Saturdays and Sundays and I try to talk to people as much as I can especially new people. If I have not met you in person I hope to do so in the future. Every week we have new people there that are Steeler Fans and some are residents and some are just visiting. We have grown our fan club from 3 people 6 years ago to 50 any given Sunday but in all honesty, only about 25 of the Steeler fans that are there, join us in the off season for cook outs and events. I wish I could account for whatever happened that night because I promise you that while I work, I do not allow anyone to get out of line and especially a Steeler Fan because most of them know me and know that I wont tolerate it.
I hope that you will give us another chance because most of us are originally from Pittsburgh and like they say in Pittsburgh " YINZ want to come down an watch the game"?

My entire family was born & raised in Pittsburgh, PA. We moved to P.C. Beach 3 years ago. We were impressed with the aura of your Steeler bar, however, shocked by the rudeness of your fans. True, down to earth Steeler fans WOULD NOT be as ignorant as y'all are!!!

Well we are in the Burgh. It is cloudy and dreary but it's still great to be home. Lots of fans here, the hotel is full to capacity with black and gold clad people. The trip was like a pilgrimage, lots of cars with Steeler stickers etc. on them headed north. We met one couple at a rest stop all heading to the game Sunday all concerned about the same thing and hoping the boys in black and gold get it together and pound the Chargers.

We hit the strip for a great Burgh breakfast with Bob and Nita this morning and plan to get out for some shopping before heading to Heinz Field to see what the Steeler Store has to offer, things you can't get anywhere else I imagine. Then on to Primanti's for lunch and an IC Light.

The game time feeling is beginning to permeate the Strip and I know it's going to grow more intense by game time, can't wait. Talk to youns later.
